Tessera, developed by Al Ghurair Development in Dubai South’s Residential District, Dubai, is a residential project designed by Portuguese architect Manuel Aires Mateus and represents his first residential commission in the UAE. The scheme adopts a low-density building approach intended to deliver the privacy and spaciousness commonly associated with townhouse communities, offering a more domestic scale compared with typical high-rise developments.
The proposal places emphasis on the relationship between built form and landscape, aiming to integrate architecture and outdoor space to support everyday living. Located in Dubai South, the development sits near Dubai World Central and is positioned within a quieter residential context of the masterplan.
